The New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry celebrates companies, nonprofits, and higher education institutions that are proving sustainability is not only good for the planet—it’s good for business. Membership is free, open to organizations of all sizes and industries, and designed to make it easy to share your impact and inspire others.
To join, businesses create a profile and showcase their sustainability journey. Members commit to:
Highlighting at least five sustainable practices they’ve adopted.
Reporting one measurable environmental benefit.
Documenting one cost-saving result from a sustainable practice.
Renewing membership every two years by adding one new practice and benefit.
The result is a living, statewide directory of businesses leading the way toward a cleaner, stronger New Jersey.
Launched in 2014, the Registry is a partnership between the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers (NJSBDC). Together, we provide recognition, resources, and expert guidance to help organizations:
Reduce operating costs with practical, proven strategies.
Earn recognition as a leader in sustainability.
Be part of a growing network of businesses committed to shaping a greener economy.
Tap into no-cost NJSBDC sustainability consultants and NJDEP resources.
